What is Tryptomer 75mg (AMITRIPTYLINE)?
Tricyclic antidepressant widely used at low doses for neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, migraine prevention, IBS, and insomnia. More effective at pain/sleep doses (10–50mg) than antidepressant doses.
How it Works
Inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake; blocks H1 (sedation), muscarinic, and alpha-1 receptors. Pain benefit relates to norepinephrine enhancement in descending pain inhibitory pathways.
