What is Sporanox 100mg (ITRACONAZOLE)?
Broad-spectrum azole antifungal for onychomycosis, aspergillosis, histoplasmosis, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis, and candidiasis. Pulse dosing (1 week on, 3 weeks off) for nail fungus.
How it Works
Inhibits fungal lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase (CYP51), blocking ergosterol synthesis. Broader spectrum than fluconazole — covers molds including Aspergillus.

Common Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhea, rash, headache, elevated liver enzymes. Negative inotropic effect — can worsen heart failure. Edema.
