How it Works
Selective serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist — causes cranial vasoconstriction and inhibits release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides (CGRP) from trigeminal nerve terminals.

Common Side Effects
Chest tightness or pressure (triptan sensation — usually benign but rule out cardiac cause), dizziness, somnolence, nausea, dry mouth, paresthesia.
Safety Warnings
