What is Rifagut 400mg (RIFAXIMIN)?

Non-absorbed antibiotic for traveler’s diarrhea, IBS-D (diarrhea-predominant IBS), hepatic encephalopathy prevention, and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).

How it Works

Inhibits bacterial RNA polymerase in the gut. Stays in GI tract with minimal systemic absorption. Modulates gut microbiota composition beyond simple bacterial killing.
