What is Repace 100mg (LOSARTAN)?
ARB for hypertension, heart failure, post-MI LV dysfunction, diabetic nephropathy, and reducing stroke risk in LVH. Also lowers uric acid (unique uricosuric property among ARBs).
How it Works
Selective AT1 receptor antagonist — blocks angiotensin II vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion. Unique uricosuric effect (reduces uric acid levels) useful in gout comorbidity.

Common Side Effects
Dizziness, hyperkalemia, upper respiratory infection, back pain, diarrhea. Lowers uric acid (beneficial). Angioedema (rare).
