SR9009 is a synthetic agonist of REV-ERBα and REV-ERBβ — nuclear receptors that function as core components of the circadian clock and metabolic regulators. Activation suppresses BMAL1 expression, increases mitochondrial number and activity, and enhances fatty acid and glucose oxidation.
