What is IGF-1 LR3?

IGF-1 LR3 (Long-Arg3 Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1) is a 83-amino acid IGF-1 analog (13-residue N-terminal extension). Long-acting IGF-1 analog with N-terminal 13-residue extension that reduces IGFBP binding by ~1000-fold, extending half-life to 20–30 hours vs 15 minutes for native IGF-1. Activates IGF-1R directly without requiring upstream GHR or hepatic IGF-1 production — IGFBP-resistant in serum-containing media.
