What is DNP (2,4-Dinitrophenol)?
2,4-Dinitrophenol (DNP) is a protonophore and mitochondrial uncoupler — dissipates the proton gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane, uncoupling electron transport chain activity from ATP synthesis.
