How it Works
Binds glucocorticoid receptors reducing transcription of inflammatory genes. More potent and longer-acting than prednisolone with less mineralocorticoid activity.

Common Side Effects
Short-term: hyperglycemia, insomnia, mood changes, GI upset. Long-term: osteoporosis, Cushing’s syndrome, adrenal suppression, cataracts, glaucoma, weight gain, infections.
