How it Works

Direct-acting reversible P2Y12 ADP receptor antagonist — no metabolic activation required unlike clopidogrel. More predictable and potent antiplatelet effect.

Common Side Effects

Dyspnea (unique to ticagrelor — usually mild, not cardiac), bleeding, bradyarrhythmia (transient), elevated uric acid.
