Atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia, bipolar mania, MDD adjunct, autism irritability, and Tourette’s disorder. Off-label for anxiety and PTSD.
How it Works
Unique partial D2/D3 agonist and 5-HT2A antagonist — stabilizes dopamine activity. Typically suppresses prolactin (unique among antipsychotics). Lower metabolic risk than most atypicals.

Common Side Effects
Akathisia (restlessness — can be significant), insomnia, nausea, headache, weight gain (less than olanzapine/quetiapine). Rare: impulse control disorders.
Safety Warnings
Black box: suicidal ideation in children and young adults. Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (rare). Impulse control disorders — warn patients. Tardive dyskinesia with long-term use. Do not abruptly discontinue. International shipping: 7–14 days
