How it Works
Direct Factor Xa inhibitor — blocks final common pathway of coagulation cascade, preventing thrombin generation and clot formation.

Common Side Effects
Bleeding (primary risk — bruising, GI hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage), anemia, nausea. Lower bleeding risk than warfarin in atrial fibrillation.
Safety Warnings
Reversal agent available but expensive. Avoid strong CYP3A4/P-gp inhibitors (ketoconazole, ritonavir). Reduce dose in renal impairment. Hold 24–48h before surgery. No routine monitoring required. International shipping: 7–14 days
