What is Angiotensin 20mg (ENALAPRIL)?
ACE inhibitor for hypertension, heart failure, diabetic nephropathy, and post-MI LV dysfunction. Landmark CONSENSUS trial established mortality benefit in severe heart failure.
How it Works
Prodrug converted to enalaprilat — inhibits ACE, reducing angiotensin II (vasoconstriction) and increasing bradykinin (vasodilation). Reduces preload, afterload, and neurohormonal activation.
